I should probably say that this is not a traditional portfolio. I think of it more like a diary of the work I do. Every project teaches me something, and I like to keep a record of the whole journey, not just the final piece that ends up on the wall or in somebody's jewelry box.
Here you’ll see the rough cuts, the early sketches, the moments when something finally “clicks,” and even the parts where things didn’t go as planned. I always felt that the process is just as important as the finished work. It shows the choices, the mistakes, the problem-solving, and the small victories that happen along the way.
When friends visit my studio, I usually end up telling stories about the projects and how a particular piece of wood surprised me, how a metal inlay fought back, how a carving took a completely different direction than I expected.
This page is my way of sharing those moments with you.
If you look through the projects here, you’ll get a sense of how I work and how each piece grows from an idea into something real. It’s not perfect and it’s not polished on purpose. It’s honest. It’s the day-to-day record of a craftsman who loves the materials, the tools, and the slow, steady process of bringing something to life.
Welcome to my workshop diary.
